About The Position
Under the direct supervision of a provider and/or nursing leadership, the Medical Support Assistant performs administrative and clinical tasks to support quality, compassionate patient care. Duties may include greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining medical histories, measuring and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures, and assisting providers during examinations or procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of related experience.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
