About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Medical Staff Services Project Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. This role coordinates logistics and administrative operations for the four functional areas of the Medical Staff Services Department: Credentialing/Privileging Team, Administrative Team, Quality Program, and Medical Education Program (CME and GME). Responsibilities include managing calendars, completing payroll, invoice submission, P-card reconciliation, purchasing supplies, oversight of the SGMCMedStaffOffice email box, maintenance of medical staff leadership/staff/medical staff rosters, and overall office coordination to support efficient departmental operations. The position also supports the Medical Staff Services program through management of the Medical Executive Committee, Semi-Annual Medical Staff meeting, Annual New Medical Staff Leadership Orientation, and Department led meetings. This includes meeting management, chair support, reporting coordination, coordination of presentations, and documentation collection and development. Additionally, the role coordinates on-call schedules, including training of software users and distribution of schedules, and maintains a back-up copy of all on-call schedules. The Medical Staff Services Project Coordinator also manages the Cerner View Only access process, ensuring required training completion, HIPAA compliance, fee collection, and tracking of all accesses. The role provides administrative problem-solving support, participates in quality initiatives, and assists with front desk coverage and other department projects as requested, such as provider health documentation, annual PPD and orientation documentation, and OPPE.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five year’s demonstrated administrative and project management experience in confidential health care setting required.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administrative or a HealthCare related field or preferred.
  • Preferably in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance with front desk coverage as needed and other department projects when requested, e.g. provider collection of provider health documentation; annual PPD and orientation documentation; OPPE; etc
