Join our team as a day shift, full-time Medical Staff Coordinator in Athens, TX. UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City. Requirements

High school graduation

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree
Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Staff Services Management (CPMSM)

Responsibilities

Coordinates and leads all aspects of the Medical Staff Services Office.
Maintains accurate files for all physicians, dentists, podiatrists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, all allied health practitioners as defined in the Medical Staff Bylaws / Rules and regulations.
Maintains schedules for all medical staff committees / subcommittees, work groups.
Manages appointment, reappointment, and changes in status / credentials for all LIP and advanced practice practitioners
