About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a medical staff credentialing specialist dedicated to maintaining high standards while following all CMS regulations and supporting two or more hospitals. This role is crucial for ensuring that credentialing and privileging functions are in accordance with Joint Commission Standards. The specialist will make a difference in the details by joining the team in its commitment to excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Five year's experience in medical staff credentialing preferred.

Nice To Haves

• CPCS or CPMSM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes medical staff applications for multiple hospitals correctly, completely, and timely.
• Ensure applications flow through required committees in a timely manner.
• Ensure all credentialing documents with expiration dates are current.
• Maintain a database of credentialed medical staff and advanced practice professionals.
• Provide medical staff rosters and delineations of privileges to the appropriate hospital staff.
• Participate in surveys (accreditation/ regulatory) with respect to medical staff affairs.
• Maintain confidentiality of all credentialing information and medical staff meetings.
