Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of office or administrative experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of medical office experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion while directing them to the appropriate staff.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, assist patients, and route calls and messages appropriately.
  • Schedule and confirm office appointments, diagnostic testing, procedures, surgeries, and medical consultations.
  • Register patients and accurately complete intake paperwork, insurance information, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Receive, distribute, and transmit medical records, laboratory results, referrals, and other documentation via fax, email, and mail.
  • Assist with patient billing and administrative documentation.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other office documents using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain office files, medical records, and supply inventory.
  • Support daily front office operations and provide administrative assistance to the clinical team.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
