Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties. Prepares and processes forms, documents and correspondence. Routinely performs tasks such as data entry, word processing, database management, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, e-mail and scheduling. Answers telephones and routes calls appropriately. Maintains the appointment schedule. Sends appointment reminders to patients. Answers and responds to incoming phone calls. Directs all callers to the appropriate extension. Relays messages in a timely manner. Receives and directs patients, visitors and other parties requiring information. Receives, screens and processes incoming correspondence and medical records. Forwards to appropriate person or department. Composes responses to general and routine correspondence. Creates and maintains patient charts. Obtains orders and processes forms and lab work. Receives, distributes and/or files result reports and transcriptions. Submits daily charges and reconciles daily charge proofs. Audits the charges for accuracy and completeness. Maintains departmental office equipment. Maintains and orders departmental supplies. Attends meetings as requested. Take sand distributes minutes. Performs other duties as assigned.
