The Medical Administrative Associate is responsible for full range of administrative support in a high-volume oncology practice.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Three to five years experience in healthcare preferred, with two to three years in an ambulatory office setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections.
  • Excellent communication skills with providers, patients, care team, other departments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity of medical coding preferred i.e.: CPT, ICD10, J- codes.

Responsibilities

  • Consult/referral coordination
  • Assisting patients with the financial assistance process
  • Covering for physician secretaries
  • Scheduling physician and treatment/infusion appointments
  • Triaging patient phone calls, and responding to requests for information
