About The Position

Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Unified Women’s Healthcare New York is currently seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the position of Medical Scribe in our ObGyn medical practice. Square Care Medical Group is the largest women's health organization on Long Island. We offer several specialties with 70 providers across 20 locations, and are a recognized leader in our industry. The Medical Scribe is responsible for assisting our healthcare providers and team with documenting patient medical records. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information pertaining to patient care. Other duties include scheduling appointments, answering phones, and performing data entry. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to SCMG protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. This candidate will assist in promoting a positive patient experience as outlined in our mission, vision, and values. Requirements

  • Experience with medical terminology required

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher in related field preferred
  • Electronic Health Record experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe patient appointments
  • Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals to outside specialties
  • Assist physician with fundamental patient care
  • Scans and processes data in patient medical record
  • Maintain and assist with lab correspondence
  • Reviews and responds to messages and tasks within EMR
  • Performs other duties as needed
  • Maintains all compliance standards as determined by the Medical Group
