About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients in their imaging journey. This role involves more than just scheduling appointments; it focuses on making patients feel informed, reassured, and supported from their initial interaction. The position transitions to fully remote after training, requiring employees to maintain a distraction-free environment and be consistently available on the phone system during scheduled work hours (Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
Requirements
- Strong phone presence and excellent verbal communication skills
- A customer-first mindset with a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
- Comfort working across multiple systems with solid computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Call center experience preferred
- Healthcare or health insurance call center experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Schedule a variety of radiologic exams accurately for patients and referring providers
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, empathy, and clarity
- Navigate a Windows-based, color-coded scheduling system to manage appointments
- Answer patient questions and guide them through next steps in their care
