About The Position

This role involves scheduling patients for the radiology department, inputting patient demographics, and verifying insurance. The position operates in a call center environment, with minimal patient face-to-face interaction, primarily handling inbound and outbound calls. The role utilizes the Genisis call platform to track call lengths, including after-work time, and monitor abandon rates. Key performance indicators include maintaining an average handle time of 6 minutes and an abandon rate of 4% or less. Scheduling for MRI or PEP may require up to 15 minutes per call. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology and involves handling a call volume of 70-100 calls per day. Responsibilities include verifying patient demographics and determining necessary authorizations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare system
  • EMR experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience with administrative duties
  • Medical terminology
  • Experience with EPIC
