About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Scheduler to join a fast-paced healthcare support team. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating patient care by managing scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication—all in a professional office setting with no direct patient contact.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • High volume medical scheduling experience is required
  • Experience with insurance verification and healthcare processes
  • Working knowledge of EMR systems
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and register patients via phone and email, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required referral documentation
  • Assist patients in understanding billing processes and available financial assistance options
  • Respond to incoming inquiries from patients and third-party payers with professionalism and clarity
  • Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to manage urgent and referral-based scheduling requests
  • Review and maintain provider schedules, making updates as needed
  • Contact patients with appointment reminders and update scheduling changes
  • Process internal physician referrals for clinical care
  • Assist with reminder systems, basic account maintenance, and administrative scheduling tasks
  • Support team members by troubleshooting moderately complex scheduling and billing issues
