About The Position

The Medical Records Specialist-PACE is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and processes related to referrals, durable medical equipment (DME), and pharmacy reconciliation. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of patient medical records in compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and confidentiality requirements. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum one-year medical records management, health information or related administrative healthcare role required.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems, healthcare documentation standards, records retention, and privacy regulation, including HIPPA.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality.
  • Ability to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Ability to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
