About The Position

As the Medical Records Clerk, you'll have the opportunity to be one of our clients' first encounters with Maricopa County Clinical Services. In this role, you will register patients, collect payments, prepare and maintain the electronic medical records for the clients we serve, following HIPPA guidelines. Your interaction with our clients will create a lasting impression. YOU can make a difference!

Requirements

  • 6 months’ experience registering patients in an electronic medical records system in a healthcare setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by the time of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
  • Experience gathering data from patients and creating medical records
  • Cashiering or cash handling experience
  • Certification as a Public Health or Community Health Worker from an accredited college or currently enrolled in a Public Health or Community Health Worker program and eligible to receive a certification within six (6) months of hire
