Responsibilities

  • Serving patients by welcoming and assisting them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
  • Greeting patients and visitors warmly, whether in person or over the phone, with all inquiries answered or directed appropriately.
  • Scheduling appointments efficiently to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room use.
  • Keeping patient appointments on track by alerting the provider upon patient arrival, comparing actual service delivery to the schedule, and notifying the provider of any delays.
  • Ensuring patient comfort by addressing their concerns, responding to questions, and upkeeping the reception area.
  • Maintaining patient accounts through the accurate recording and updating of personal and financial information.
  • Securing revenue by managing financial records, processing patient charges, overseeing patient credit, and handling third-party claims.
  • Maintaining the inventory and equipment of the business office, managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and arranging for equipment servicing and repairs.
  • Assisting patients in emergencies.
  • Safeguarding patient rights by keeping personal and financial information confidential.
  • Adhering to policies and procedures, suggesting necessary changes.
  • Contributing to the team's efforts by achieving required results.
