About The Position

The Child and Family Guidance Center is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join their team. This role is responsible for assisting clients and staff in a busy Outpatient Behavioral Health Unit. The ideal candidate will be a bi-lingual Spanish speaker who can work within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and mission of the Child and Family Guidance Center, understanding and supporting the Agency’s strategic plan and its Values. The position offers a salary of $19hr and involves a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaker is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One to three years’ medical office experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors, in person or on the telephone answering or referring inquiries.
  • Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
  • Assist psychiatrists with making phone calls, scanning, copying, and faxing.
  • Follow office policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient accounts by validating all personal and financial information.
  • Maintain, record and process clinical results as requested by clinical staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Manage correspondence to and from community providers, families, pharmacies, and other organizations involved in care.
  • Assist in coverage as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others while meeting deadlines.
