About The Position
The Medical Receptionist Floater for the Eastern Region plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient front-desk operations across multiple healthcare facilities. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical receptionist or front-desk role within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to travel and work at multiple clinic locations within the Eastern Region as required.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) or equivalent.
- Experience working in a multi-site healthcare organization or as a floater receptionist.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the region.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume patient interactions with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients promptly and courteously at multiple healthcare facilities within the Eastern Region.
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments as required.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Adapt quickly to different clinic environments, policies, and team dynamics while maintaining consistent service quality.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry as needed during float assignments.
