Requirements

  • Two years of professional legal work which includes one year of trial work experience
  • A Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
  • Possess a certification of current license and active admission in good standing to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hearings by administering oaths, examining witnesses, reviewing evidence, and ruling on motions
  • Prepare adjudications and recommendations by reviewing records, evaluating evidence, and documenting findings
  • Review statutes, case law, regulations, and policies and communicate updates to staff
  • Monitor and manage assigned cases to meet required timelines and procedures
  • Provide direction to legal assistants and administrative law judges on appeal procedures
