About The Position

Full-time Medical Receptionist/Call Center Float is needed for a small, fast-paced Urology practice in Central Austin. The ideal candidate will be crossed-trained in front check-in, back check-out, and the in-office call center. We are looking for a dependable, friendly, hard-working individual with a strong work ethic, seeking longevity in their career. Urology experience is preferred, and the ability to multitask, learn quickly, and work independently is essential.

Responsibilities

Being the face of our practice, making patients feel welcome and happy, and treating everyone as a friend or family member.
Scheduling patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures.
Collecting copays, deductibles, and outstanding bills at check-in.
Verifying patients' insurance and eligibility.
Managing the flow of information from telephone, fax, scans, and emails.
Completing medical records transmittals and requests.
Obtaining referrals and managing online incoming and outgoing referrals.
Sending and receiving medical record requests.
Triaging a high volume of administrative and clinical questions from patients and handling concerns to completion.
Returning a high volume of patient voicemails.
Triaging calls and routing messages/tasks to the appropriate staff/provider.
Efficiently managing time and working independently.
Communicating and documenting effectively.
