About The Position

The Medical Receptionist Call Center 1 plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient communication between patients and healthcare providers within the health care and social assistance industry. This position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments, and providing accurate information to patients regarding medical services and procedures. The role requires maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations while delivering exceptional customer service. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, helping to create a welcoming and professional environment that supports patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.   • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Provide patients with clear and concise information about medical services, office policies, and procedures.
  • Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws at all times.
  • Document call details, patient inquiries, and appointment information accurately in the call center database.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve patient issues and improve service delivery.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as processing patient forms, handling referrals, and managing waitlists.
