About The Position

This is an internal "only" job posting, available to current Montgomery County Government employees. The salary range represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $101,474 to $164,367, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic professional with 5 or more years of experience managing staff and working in revenue cycle management, including medical billing, coding, insurance claims, Medicaid regulations, quality assurance, and use of electronic health records. A certification in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is preferred. Practice Management is about creating systems and processes that empower front line HHS employees to deliver exceptional care to our community.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience working in revenue cycle management, including medical billing, coding, insurance claims, Medicaid regulations, quality assurance, and use of electronic health records.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
• Experience in local government public health and behavioral health medical billing.
• Experience interacting and contracting with health insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of quality assurance, billing, medical credentialing, and medical records staff
• Oversight of Department medical billing and documentation compliance
• Management of medical credentialing process
• Maximizing revenue in collaboration with HHS Fiscal Billing Team, senior leadership, and program managers.
• Monitoring the revenue cycle beginning with client registration to reimbursement.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing, coding, and revenue processing laws and regulations.
• Electronic Health Record system ownership
