About The Position

This job is responsible for physics leadership in the assigned region across the radiation oncology network. The Medical Physicist III performs responsibilities of a level II medical physicist, develops, oversees, and manages standard operating procedures in quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines and patient care, develops, oversees, and manages physics staff and programs, ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards, and develops, oversees, and manages special clinical research and development projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physics or related field
  • 6 years of experience in Clinical experience as a medical physicist
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Therapeutic Medical Physics Certification - American Board of Radiology (ABR)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging Physics Certification - American Board of Medical Physicists (ABMP)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification - Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM)
  • Radiation Oncology Physics Certification - Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM)
  • Magnetic Resonance Safety Certification – American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS)

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate's degree in Physics or related field
  • At least 10 publications in medical physics
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work independently in a challenging environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
