Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in medical/health physics, physical science, engineering, or other scientific field.
Motivated work ethic, detail oriented, and systematic in thinking and approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
After hours and weekend work required.
Lifting 25 lbs max.
Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.
Occasional to frequent standing & walking.
Occasional sitting.
Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing).

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Medical Physics team with routine quality assurance tasks.
Perform routine medical physics tasks, under the supervision of a Medical Physicist.
Assist in the collection of quality assurance data with various radiation detectors (EPID, ion chambers, diodes, survey meters, etc) and other tasks under the supervision of a Medical Physicist.
Keep accurate records of data analysis and documentation, and be able to present data to the Medical Physicists.
Collaborate with members of the radiation oncology team (physicists, physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, nursing staff, IT, etc.) to carry out quality assurance and process improvement duties.
Perform other duties to support Division of Medical Physics as needed.
