About The Position
Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA, is seeking a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team. This full-time position is part of a comprehensive, high-quality care system serving NW Georgia and NE Alabama. The Medical Group is comprised of over 250 physicians and advanced practice providers across more than 40 medical specialties. Requirements
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice for Nurse Practitioners.
- Acute care certification required for inpatient or hybrid positions.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
- Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
- Effective communication (written and verbal).
- Willingness to collaborate closely with the clinical team.
- Displays self-initiative to learn.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology working as an APP.
- Open to new grads.
- Current on best practice and standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Practice in Medical Oncology.
- See a patient load varying between 10-12 patients daily.
- Participate in rotating call coverage for evenings and weekends.
