Oncologist Opportunity – Seattle Metro Area | PSLF Eligible
About The Position
A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle Metro Area is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist to join its growing cancer care program. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient medical oncology services, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a broad range of solid tumor malignancies and hematologic conditions. The oncologist will develop individualized treatment plans utilizing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive care services. Collaboration with other specialists, participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards, and a shared call schedule with strong hospitalist and specialty support are key aspects of the position. The role utilizes EPIC EMR with integrated oncology workflows and clinical decision-support tools, supported by an established referral network.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology-Oncology
- Fellowship-trained in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology
- Eligible for Washington State medical license
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- Commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient medical oncology services
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a broad range of solid tumor malignancies and hematologic conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive care services
- Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and palliative care specialists
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and cancer program initiatives
- Shared call schedule with strong hospitalist and specialty support
