Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) is one of the largest and most respected providers of cancer care in the Southeast, with over 15,000 new cancer cases in 2023 and services provided at over 55+ locations. NHCI is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer as an Integrated Network Cancer Program and is recognized for providing high quality, comprehensive cancer care. In 2014, NHCI was awarded a grant to lead a National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Program (NCORP), dedicated to providing patients throughout Georgia with access to clinical trials in their local communities. Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) is a practice within NHCI, with 27 locations across one-third of the state and a network of 47 medical oncologists. Each clinic is supported by an oncology-trained pharmacist, social workers, oncology dietitians, genetic counselors, and research staff. The Northside Hospital health care system is a leading healthcare provider in Georgia with five acute care hospitals and over 5 million patient encounters annually. The system has 2,178 beds, more than 300 outpatient locations, over 30,000 employees, and 3,700 physicians on staff.
