About The Position

The Medical Office Cleaner provides a wide variety of cleaning services and related duties to keep facilities clean and orderly. This position supports the Maniilaq Health Clinic in Kobuk, Alaska. It is non-rotational and focuses on Shareholder hire in Kobuk.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 6 months of experience demonstrating working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts.
Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Frequently walk and stand; occasionally lift; rarely pull and push.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize, and/or restock assigned hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, offsite areas, restrooms, public areas, and other work areas.
Dust low and high areas and wipe down or clean various surfaces.
Remove and transport trash to appropriate disposal areas.
Use appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for assigned tasks.
Maintain clean and orderly carts and storage areas.
May assist with laundry and/or linen removal.
Replenish guest supplies and amenities as required.
May scrub, strip, extract, wax, and buff floors using appropriate equipment.
May change light bulbs and perform light facility maintenance.
Recognize and use appropriate personal protective equipment for job tasks.
Follow safety policies, requirements, and training.
Report material discrepancies, damage, and/or theft to the manager or maintenance department.
Perform other duties pertinent to the department or unit’s success.
