Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join the team at the Vancouver City Centre Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC). This role operates within a team-based model of care, reporting to the Program Manager. The MOA will perform registration and clerical support functions for the Primary Care Clinic, which serves patients and families requiring high-priority care within 24 hours. The position supports the local Community of Care (CoC) service delivery model, primary care network, and adheres to VCH policies and procedures. Urgent and Primary Care Centres (UPCCs) are designed to manage unexpected, non-life-threatening conditions that need medical attention within 12-24 hours, offering an alternative to the emergency department for issues like sprains, cuts, infections, mild asthma attacks, and less serious childhood illnesses or injuries. These centres are staffed by a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including general practitioners, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and social workers, and function as an additional community service to provide timely and appropriate urgent care.
