About The Position

The Medical Materiel Specialist - Level I role involves a range of warehousing and logistical tasks, including customer support, requisitioning, shipping, receiving, building medical kits, inventory management, Quality Assurance (QA), and cargo preparation and deployment. This includes handling medical controlled items stored securely, operating material handling equipment, and updating DoD MMIS records. The position requires logistical oversight and inventory management for the 27 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Response Enterprise to ensure accurate SLEP/DMLSS statistics and effective communication of SLEP updates. Responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews and reports on SLEP and DMLSS inventory records, acting as a Logical SLEP coordinator, performing regular inventory audits, and tracking/documenting medical material usage. The role also assists in procuring medical supplies and equipment and is designed for a professional with program management, oversight, communication, collaboration, and strategic readiness reporting skills. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of logistics field experience (preferably in Medical Logistics).
  • Familiar with, and able to navigate/utilize, MMIS.
  • Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.
  • Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Logistical oversight and inventory management of the 27 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Response Enterprise.
  • Ensure precise SLEP/DMLSS statistics.
  • Effectively communicate all SLEP related updates to affected units, AFMED, and NGB/SGX.
  • Conduct monthly reviews and provide monthly reports to the COR of SLEP and DMLSS inventory records.
  • Function as Logical SLEP coordinator.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Track and document the usage of medical materials.
  • Assist in the procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
