About The Position

The Medical Materiel Specialist - Level I role involves a range of warehousing and logistical tasks, including customer support, requisitioning, shipping, receiving, building medical kits, inventory management, quality assurance, and cargo preparation. This position also requires the handling of medical controlled items in secure locations, operation of material handling equipment, and updating DoD MMIS records. The role is crucial for program management and oversight, requiring effective communication, collaboration, and strategic readiness reporting.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of logistics field experience (preferably in Medical Logistics)
  • Familiarity with and ability to navigate/utilize MMIS
  • Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa
  • Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance

  • Ensuring precise SLEP/DMLSS statistics
  • Effectively communicating all SLEP related updates to affected units, AFMED, and NGB/SGX
  • Conducting monthly reviews and providing monthly reports to the COR of SLEP and DMLSS inventory records
  • Functioning as Logical SLEP coordinator
  • Conducting regular inventory audits
  • Tracking and documenting the usage of medical materials
  • Assisting in the procurement of medical supplies and equipment
  • Performing other duties as assigned
