Medical Laboratory Technologist, 3rd Shift

About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Transfusion Services. The role applies knowledge of testing methodologies and laboratory principles to support clinical decision-making and quality patient care. The schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, every other weekend, with various weekdays as scheduled.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology; or a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology; or Medical Technologist certification with at least two years of clinical hospital laboratory experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct quality control testing and routine instrument maintenance.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure optimal instrument performance.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Train and mentor new employees and students as assigned.
- Cross-train and support specialized laboratory areas, including Flow Cytometry, Microbiology, and Cellular Therapy.
