About The Position
American Health Associates is hiring a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician in St. Louis, Missouri. The technician performs a full range of laboratory testing and reports laboratory findings to physicians. The role requires occupational-specific, technical, personal, and professional skills and adherence to CLIA Section 493.1495 standard testing personnel responsibilities.
Requirements
- Completion of a qualified medical laboratory science program or three years of acceptable clinical laboratory experience.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in biological science or chemistry.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Two to four years of laboratory experience.
Responsibilities
- Produce and report appropriate laboratory results in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and automated chemistry.
- Perform, interpret, and record quality control data in all departments.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation as prescribed in procedures.
- Call critical results.
- Perform inventory and maintain department supplies.
