About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician I performs manual and automated analysis and specialized procedures on various blood and body fluids. The technician interprets results and quality control studies to ensure reliable result reporting, processes clinical samples, and performs phlebotomy as needed to promote team efficiency.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of an MLT program with an associate’s degree.
- MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated analysis on blood and body fluids.
- Perform specialized procedures on blood and body fluids.
- Interpret results and quality control studies to ensure reliable result reporting.
- Process clinical samples.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed.
