About The Position
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – Clinical Labs to perform moderately complex diagnostic tests and limited high complexity testing. This role also involves performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on select laboratory equipment or instruments. A key aspect of this position is to promote a culture of safety for patients through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention of medical errors in a non-punitive environment.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology Required or education and training equivalent to an associate degree to include 60 semester hours including either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses Required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience as Medical Laboratory Technician or relevant laboratory experience Preferred
- Certification Medical Laboratory Technician by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists or similar agency Preferred
