The position assists in the collection of laboratory specimens, performs instrument maintenance and recordkeeping, and acts as a resource person for issues of laboratory services.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Clinical experience in a clinical laboratory as part of Associate Degree.
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification must be in place or obtained within 6 months of hire.
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Nice To Haves

Medical Laboratory Technology, or equivalent laboratory training/experience or provisions meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA Regulations 42CFR493.1489

Responsibilities

Precisely and accurately performs and results laboratory procedures using established quality assurance protocols.
Assists in the collection of laboratory specimens.
Performs instrument maintenance and recordkeeping.
Acts as a resource person for issues of laboratory services.
