About The Position

The phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures under the philosophy, policies, and procedures established by the hospital and department. The phlebotomist is the departmental ambassador and is responsible for providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT) as outlined in AHS Laboratory SOP Name: Certification Pathway and Certification.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and/or Electrocardiogram (EKG) as needed depending on position. Hospital/laboratory phlebotomists are not required to have CPR/EKG.
• Excellent customer relation skills.
• Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the high school level.

Responsibilities
