Position Summary: The Phlebotomy Team Lead is responsible for the daily supervision of phlebotomy operations within their specified location including the daily operations and duties of the phlebotomist. The individual must be capable of performing, teaching, and monitoring all phlebotomy functions within the laboratory including but not limited to: scheduling, specimen collection, labeling, receipt, processing, delivery, and archiving. This individual is responsible for working and communicating with various health professionals within the organization as needed to complete tasks on a daily basis. Decisions are made independently or in collaboration with the Team Leads, Management, and the Lab Director. This position ensures compliance with all regulatory/accreditation standards and Adena Health policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • PBT – Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • Three to five years of relevant experience performing phlebotomy functions in a medical setting

  • Phlebotomy; Medical Technology as a Major/Area of Concentration

Responsibilities
