About The Position
A critical access hospital south of Sioux City, South Dakota is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its laboratory team. This is a permanent position with night shift hours, consisting of five 8-hour shifts. No weekends or call responsibilities are required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
- Minimum of one year of laboratory experience required
- ASCP or AMT certification required
- BLS certification required upon hire
Responsibilities
- Perform patient specimen collection, including routine venipuncture and blood draws
- Ensure accurate specimen identification, labeling, and processing
- Conduct laboratory testing while adhering to quality assurance and safety standards
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
