About The Position

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree - Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.
• Bachelor's Degree - Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire.
• National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire.
• National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire.
• National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists upon hire or, Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist upon hire.

• 3 years - Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.
