This is a Full-Time, 1st shift position working Monday-Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Winston Campus. The role involves obtaining and sorting specimens, verifying acceptability requirements, identifying and resolving specimen issues, and processing orders in the Electronic Medical Record or Outreach laboratory information system. The position requires advanced knowledge of specimen triage and distribution, performing processing techniques like centrifugation and aliquoting, and loading specimens onto automated testing tracks. It also involves troubleshooting laboratory order and specimen issues, providing coverage for Laboratory Client Services during off-hours, guiding team members, assisting with training and mentoring, and supporting Quality Assurance and Safety documentation. Special projects and continuing education are also part of the role.
