About The Position

The Medical Laboratory Assistant I is an on-call laboratory assistant who provides administrative and technical support to phlebotomists, laboratory technicians, and laboratory management staff. The role involves frequent interaction with nursing staff and most hospital departments. Work takes place indoors, with environmental changes that may include changing temperatures and minimal exposure to cleaning, staining, and testing chemicals. Hours may be irregular to accommodate departmental requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
