About The Position

CentraCare is hiring a Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist for a generalist position at St. Cloud Hospital. Laboratory professionals perform tests on body fluids and tissue samples, interpret results, and provide information that helps clinicians understand patients’ health. This position works in multiple laboratory areas, including chemistry, hematology, and either microbiology or transfusion services. The role is full-time at 80 hours every two weeks, with 8-hour shifts. The schedule includes days and day/evening rotations, with day shifts starting between 5 and 7 a.m. and evening shifts starting between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Starting pay begins at $28.04 per hour and increases with experience; the stated pay range is $26.74–$40.11 per hour. Hiring incentives may include a $10,000 hiring bonus or $15,000 student loan repayment, and a $5,000 relocation bonus if applicable, subject to eligibility and program conditions. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate degree from an accredited Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician (CLT/MLT) program. For new graduates, the degree must be validated within two months after graduation.
ASCP-BOC certification within six months; the first exam must be completed within three months of hire, and certification must be verified within six weeks of the exam.
A valid Minnesota driver’s license, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum required insurance liability coverage may be required.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of recent experience in a large acute care facility is preferred.
