Medical Lab Technician
About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs tests on samples of blood, urine, and other body fluids to obtain information used in the diagnosis and evaluation of patients’ medical status. The technician participates in Performance Improvement activities to support continuous Quality Improvement, maintains appropriate awareness in interactions with patients, visitors, coworkers, and other customers, and promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. The role fulfills departmental responsibilities in alignment with TriStar Horizon Medical Center’s long-range plan, mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- Associate degree and completion of an accredited MLT program, or equivalent education and experience that qualifies for national registration through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
