About The Position

We are seeking a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) – Hematology to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA. Perform routine hematology laboratory testing and analyses in accordance with established SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Support quality, compliance, and operational excellence by generating accurate laboratory data, maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations may require a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology
  • 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) License (Required)
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and experience working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, and hazardous chemical handling practices
  • Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory testing and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills when working with internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to perform routine and non-routine laboratory calculations, including quality control metrics and statistical measures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document analytical testing procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze laboratory data and evaluate results against established quality and performance expectations
  • Identify unusual results, performance issues, or deviations and escalate findings to senior laboratory personnel
  • Maintain, calibrate, and document laboratory equipment and support laboratory investigations as needed
  • Prepare buffers, solutions, and analytical materials required for testing activities
  • Support training and onboarding of laboratory personnel on routine procedures and proven areas of competency
  • Assist with procedural updates, implementation of laboratory process improvements, and inventory management
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with laboratory and cross-functional stakeholders while supporting safety and quality initiatives
