About The Position

Texas Health Kaufman is seeking a passionate Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join their Laboratory Department. This PRN position is located at Texas Health Kaufman, 850 Ed Hall Drive, Kaufman, 75142. The department boasts a diverse team focused on ensuring the accuracy of patient results in a community hospital setting. The laboratory has been newly remodeled with the latest technology. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman has served its communities for over 40 years as a 91-bed, acute-care, full-service hospital specializing in various services including orthopedic surgery, diagnostic and imaging, outpatient physical therapy, respiratory care, nuclear medicine, and emergency medicine. The hospital is Joint Commission-certified and recognized by the ANCC as a Pathway to Excellence hospital.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred. Individuals hired as a CLS II prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS position with existing education. degree may be obtained within 3 months of hire is required
Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program is required
MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 6 Months is required Or
MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist 6 Months is required Or
Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology 6 Months is required Or
M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology 6 Months is required

Nice To Haves

2 Years experience in a Medical Laboratory is preferred
