Medical Lab Scientist (MLS)
About The Position
This position involves processing and testing all types of laboratory specimens, reviewing and reporting lab results, and performing operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. The Medical Lab Scientist acts as a resource to other laboratory personnel and assists with new equipment validation and implementation, employee training and competency assessment, regulatory compliance responsibilities for agencies like CAP, TCJ, and AABB, and quality assurance, quality control, and instrument maintenance. Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett is a 196-bed full-service hospital in Bartlett, opened in 2004, offering a wide range of medical services including a 24-hour emergency room, critical care, cardiac care, oncology, urology, physical therapy, and an orthopedic/spine unit.
