About The Position
Join Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center as an evening-shift, part-time Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) in the Pathology Unit in Montclair, New Jersey. The MLA assists laboratory personnel with specimen collection, receiving and processing, laboratory testing, process improvement, and quality initiatives. The medical center is an 820,000-square-foot facility with 365 beds, more than 1,200 employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. It offers medical programs, advanced technology, and patient-focused care. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a phlebotomist upon hire.
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a medical lab assistant within two years of the hire date.
- Experience working in a clinical setting.
