About The Position

Rome Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable Medical Imaging Tech Aide to support our Mammography and Medical Imaging Department. This position plays an important role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by assisting with patient care, workflow, and department operations while supporting our Mammography team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and patient-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital, imaging center, physician practice, or medical office preferred.
  • Previous patient care or customer service experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • experience with electronic medical records or PACS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients throughout their Mammography and Medical Imaging visit.
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow within the Mammography and Imaging Department.
  • Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers.
  • Assist patients with mobility needs, preparation, and transportation while ensuring comfort, dignity, and privacy.
  • Recognize patient safety concerns and communicate findings to the mammography technologist or appropriate clinical staff.
  • Provide compassionate support to patients during breast imaging and other diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with mammography technologists, radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide outstanding patient care.
  • Scan and upload patient documentation and technologist notes into PACS.
  • Assist with maintaining an organized, efficient, and patient-focused imaging environment.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with departmental policies, safety standards, and training.
