About The Position

This PRN (as needed) position provides coverage for medical imaging patient transport. The role involves coordinating patient transport from various hospital locations to and from imaging exam rooms, ensuring patient safety and proper transfer techniques are used. Responsibilities include cleaning and restocking equipment and exam rooms, verifying patient identity, and assisting technologists as needed.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Excellent and professional communication skills
• Must be able to stoop and lift, stand, and walk without restrictions

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in healthcare setting preferred
• Possess physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Works under direct supervision of the Imaging Technologist to coordinate transport of patient.
• Provides transport by cart or wheels chair to and from ED, Medical Surgical Unit, or other hospital locations using appropriate transfer techniques.
• Verifies patient identity prior to transport.
• Cleans carts and wheelchairs after each use.
• Cleans imaging exam room and changes linens after each patient; restocks as needed.
• Assists technologist as needed in exam suite.
• Other duties as assigned.
