As a Customer Service Engineer 2, you will be responsible for servicing Medical Imaging Equipment in the Kansas City, MO area. Customer Service Engineer Level can be adjusted based on prior experience. You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites. You are the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. You support the diagnostics modalities initially, with potential to cross train into other modalities in the future. You are flexible and willing to work different shifts and On-Call rotations as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Advanced notice will be provided for any shift changes. You report to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
Can locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions.
3-5+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
Lifting 50 lbs regularly [floor to above waist/head], and often over 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position.
Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
Previous experience with the desired Diagnostics Imaging Equipment.
Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers.
Strong background working with electronics and are proficient in the use of service tools and service test equipment.
Proficient PC skills (MS Windows & Microsoft Office 365 -Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
