Medical GI/Head and Neck Oncologist
About The Position
The Division of Hematology/Oncology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist specializing in Gastrointestinal and Head and Neck Cancers. This role involves serving as a regional expert within the BILH Cancer Network, with a dual-site focus at LHMC Burlington and the Cancer Center at Lahey Medical Center Peabody. The position includes a faculty role in teaching medical students and residents, serving as Core Faculty for a new fellowship program, and participating in clinical research as LHMC is a main member of SWOG and NRG. There is an opportunity for an academic appointment at UMass-Chan School of Medicine.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Medical Oncology.
- Subspecialty focus/interest in GI and Head and Neck Oncology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a regional expert in GI and head and neck cancers within the BILH Cancer Network.
- Teach UMass-Chan medical students and LHMC internal medicine residents.
- Serve as a Core Faculty Member for the new LHMC Hematology-Oncology fellowship program.
- Participate in clinical research through SWOG and NRG.
